Winter came to Chess Max Academy in February 2020 eager to start learning how to play chess. One year later – he won the National title!

We expect more great results from Winter in the coming years as he continues to study at our school.

Congratulations to Chess Max Academy’s student Grandmaster Hans Niemann for winning the World Open Tournament this year and surpassing the 2600 FIDE barrier at the same time!

Hans is a previous K-12 National Champion and his persistence and love for the game will undoubtedly make him one of the best players in the world.

The biggest sensation of Chess Max Academy Tournament was the performance of Abhimanyu Mishra, who at age of 10 years, 9 months and 3 days, became the youngest International Master in history of Chess beating out the previous record held by Praggnanandhaa by 17 days. Congratulations to Abhi and his Family!

Congratulations to Liam Putnam for winning the National 4th Grade Championships in Orlando, Florida, as well as coming 2nd in the K-6 Blitz National Championships. Liam’s current USCF rating is 2007. Age 9. Currently number 4 in his age group in the country.

Congratulations to Vishwa Vasnawala for becoming the number one rated girl age 12 and Under in all of India.Vishwa is in number 5 in rating in asia and 23 in world. She also a Woman Candidate Master. Vishwa’s current FIDE rating is 1758. Age 12.
