WCM Maddie Weber is an active tournament player and chess coach with more than 10 years of teaching experience. She has worked privately and in schools with children ages 3–17 as well as adult players.
How Maddie teaches
Maddie adapts each lesson to the student’s goals and learning style. She focuses on a strong understanding of chess, confidence at the board, and making improvement rewarding and enjoyable.
Competitive experience
After growing up in weekly scholastic tournaments in Wisconsin, Maddie went on to compete nationally and internationally. Known online as MaddiePlaysChess, she also shares her enthusiasm for the game and encourages more women to play chess.
